1:1 AI-First UI/UX Workshop for Berlin Startups

A private 90-minute design session for Berlin-based startups building or iterating AI-enabled products. Walk out with sketches, patterns, and a measurement plan you can ship next week.

29 June · 2, 3, 4 July
Central Berlin (TBA)
Limited to 10 startups
Why AI-First UI/UX is different

AI as a collaborator, not just a feature

AI-first UI/UX treats AI as an active partner in the user's workflow. The interface should show what the AI is doing, why, and how confident it is — while giving users clear control to refine, override, or revert. Designs are organized around real tasks (speed, accuracy, usefulness), not model internals, so decisions feel faster, safer, and more trustworthy.

Key differentiators

Explainable outputs

Concise explanations, confidence indicators, and Accept / Adapt / Override actions.

Explicit onboarding

Capabilities, data inputs, limits, and privacy communicated up front.

Task-centered dashboards

Built around user goals and concrete actions, not model complexity.

User control & governance

Overrides, undo / rollbacks, and visibility into AI decisions.

Real-time, context-aware

Suggestions and next steps adapt to user context and history.

Human-in-the-loop

Easy handoff to a human, with transparent handover points.

Lightweight personalization

Speed and relevance improve with minimal friction and clear privacy safeguards.

Ethical, privacy-first

Data-usage disclosures, consent signals, and guardrails by default.

Design system evidence

Copilot panels, confidence badges, explainability cards — standardized for speed.

Measurement mindset

Track trust, adoption, engagement, and conversion — not just accuracy.

How we'll address this in the workshop

  • Map AI outputs to explainability patterns (where to show confidence, reasons, next steps)
  • Prototype onboarding and dashboards that communicate capabilities and limits clearly
  • Design AI interaction components — co-pilots, explainability panels, override controls
  • Define lightweight experiments to test impact on engagement and conversions
  • Produce actionable deliverables for your backlog: patterns, wireframes, measurement plan

What you'll get in your 1:1 session

  • Personalized UX assessment of your AI product with 2–3 reusable patterns (onboarding nudges, explainable outputs, confidence indicators, human-in-the-loop)
  • 2–4 low-fidelity sketches or wireframes focused on AI interaction (onboarding, AI outputs, dashboards)
  • A lightweight measurement plan with 2–3 experiments to validate engagement/conversions
  • A prioritized backlog ready for design and prototyping

Who should apply

  • Founders, PMs, designers, and engineers from Berlin-based startups
  • Teams launching or iterating AI-enabled products
  • Anyone responsible for onboarding, dashboards, or presenting AI outputs

How the process works

  1. Apply with your AI feature concept, current metrics, and optional screenshots/flows
  2. Submissions are reviewed and approved by the organizer
  3. Selected startups are invited to the free in-person workshop in Central Berlin
  4. Attend your 90-minute session and receive tailored deliverables

What to bring

  • Your current AI feature concept or problem statement
  • 1–2 relevant analytics metrics (onboarding drop-off, activation rate, sign-ups, engagement)
  • An open mind and readiness to ideate in a private, collaborative setting

Exact venue address and time confirmed after approval. Free to attend, but seats are limited to 10 startups — applications are reviewed and selected companies will be notified with final event details.
